Brex is a financial technology company that builds an integrated platform combining corporate cards, expense management, banking, travel and accounting. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in San Francisco, with additional presence in Salt Lake City, New York and a distributed remote workforce, the company develops AI-powered software that automates expense reports, receipt tracking and approvals. Its technical work spans financial technology, expense automation and corporate card issuance.

The corporate card product serves more than 35,000 companies, from early-stage startups to large enterprises, with global spending supported across more than 120 countries. Customers include DoorDash, OpenAI and Anthropic. Banking services are provided through partners such as Column N.A.; Brex is not a bank, a structure it uses to move faster and design better products.
