LeanTaaS

LeanTaaS builds AI-powered capacity management software using predictive analytics and machine learning to help hospitals optimise operating rooms, infusion centres and inpatient beds.

LeanTaaS builds AI-powered capacity management software for hospitals, applying predictive analytics, machine learning and lean principles to the problem of matching constrained clinical resources to patient demand. Founded in 2010, the company sells the iQueue platform, which helps providers unlock existing capacity in operating rooms, infusion centres and inpatient wards. The engineering work sits at the intersection of machine learning, forecasting and healthcare operations analytics, and is delivered as a commercial SaaS product to a highly regulated customer base.

The company's flagship applications include iQueue for Infusion Centers, a capacity management solution used by 57 of the Top 100 Cancer Hospitals and covering more than 20% of all U.S. infusion chairs. Reported customer outcomes include an additional $100,000 in revenue per operating room per year, $20,000 per infusion chair and $10,000 per inpatient bed, alongside a 6% increase in surgical case volume and EBITDA improvements of 2-5%.

By the company's account, its software reaches more than 190 health systems and over 1,200 hospitals and centres across 49 U.S. states. Roughly 70% of U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll hospitals use its platform, as do 80% of National Comprehensive Cancer Network members and nearly 60% of National Cancer Institute-Designated Cancer Centers. LeanTaaS has been named Best in KLAS for Capacity Optimization Management in consecutive years.

The company raised a $130m round led by Insight Partners and Goldman Sachs, alongside a significant growth investment from Bain Capital, positioning it in the growth / late-stage venture and private-equity category. Its stated mission is to help hospitals do more with less and to increase patient access to care.
