Lotus Health runs a free AI-powered primary care platform, licensed in all 50 U.S. states, where AI supports diagnosis and treatment planning and board-certified physicians review every case.
Lotus Health operates a free AI-powered primary care platform in the United States. Founded in 2024, the company functions as a licensed medical practice: artificial intelligence guides patient conversations and synthesises treatment plans from a patient's complete health history and the latest medical evidence, while board-certified physicians review and approve every diagnosis, prescription and specialist referral. The service is available to patients 24 hours a day across all 50 states at no cost.
The underlying systems span large language models, clinical decision support and HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. Physicians affiliated with the practice come from institutions including Stanford, Harvard and UCSF, and the practice carries malpractice insurance. The stated mission is to provide primary care to 100 million Americans at no cost.
Lotus Health has raised $41 million and counts Kleiner Perkins and CRV among its investors. The founder previously built Dil Mil, sold for $50 million in 2019, and started the company after working as a medical translator for immigrant parents and observing long wait times, opaque billing and a lack of transparency in the health system. Product priorities include patient transparency and a human-in-the-loop model in which AI assists but licensed physicians retain final sign-off.
