Trove
Trove provides a Recommerce Operating System that lets brands and 3PLs run resale, returns, trade-in and reverse logistics programmes through branded storefronts and retail integrations.
Trove builds the technology behind branded resale. Its Recommerce Operating System lets apparel, fashion and outdoor brands, along with third-party logistics providers, launch and scale resale programmes by integrating into existing retail ecosystems. The platform covers resale storefronts, trade-in schemes, returns management and reverse logistics, handling the collection, processing and remarketing of returns, excess inventory and pre-owned goods.
For engineers working at the intersection of marketing and commerce, the surface area is broad: e-commerce storefronts, retail systems integration and recommerce platform technology underpin customer-facing resale channels and the flows of inventory and data behind them. The company reports that its Returns Management System lifts margins on aged and imperfect items by 60-80%, while the operating system reduces labour costs by up to 40%.
Trove says it holds roughly 75% of the U.S. branded resale market and has processed more than 7 million resale items over more than ten years in circular commerce, avoiding over 5m kg of CO2e. It operates across North America and Europe, with a European headquarters in Berlin. Trove is a Certified B Corporation.
