Cresta

Cresta builds a generative AI platform for contact centers that captures top-performer expertise and scales it across organizations to turn customer conversations into business advantage.

Cresta, founded in 2017, develops a generative AI platform for contact centers. The company's stated purpose is to capture the expertise of top-performing agents and scale it across an organization, with the aim of turning customer conversations into business advantage. Its technical work spans generative AI, natural language processing, real-time conversation intelligence and contact center AI.

The Cresta unified platform combines human and artificial intelligence to surface real-time insights, automate complex conversations and help agents perform like experts from day one. The emphasis throughout is on pairing human judgment with machine capability rather than replacing one with the other.

The company was spun out of Stanford's AI lab and founded by Sebastian Thrun, who created Google X and Waymo. It is led by chief executive Ping Wu, previously of Google Contact Center AI. The founding team describes its mission as helping people acquire high-value skills through AI.

Cresta's platform is applied in contact centers across telecommunications, hospitality and financial and consumer software. Marketing engineers working with Cresta would encounter problems at the intersection of conversation data, real-time intelligence and enterprise customer engagement.
