Simular builds AI agents that use computers like humans do, backed by open-source agentic frameworks and benchmark-leading systems such as Agent S3.
Simular, founded in 2023 and styling itself the Autonomous Computer Company, builds AI agents that operate computers the way humans do. Its work spans agentic AI, neuro-symbolic approaches, lifelong reinforcement learning and symbolic code generation, with much of it released as open-source frameworks. The company says its open-source agentic tooling outperforms larger rivals on leading benchmarks across browsers, computers and smartphones.
Its flagship system, Agent S3, is designed for autonomous computer use across browsers, desktops and smartphones. Simular reports a 72.6% success rate on the OSWorld benchmark, described as super-human performance, alongside 90.1% on the WebVoyager browser benchmark and 71.6% on AndroidWorld smartphone tasks. More than 12,653 users have joined its platforms. The company has raised $21.5M in funding.
The team is drawn from DeepMind, Google and other top AI laboratories, and is led by former DeepMind researchers. Simular describes a research-driven culture that publishes at top academic conferences while translating that research directly into products, and an open-source orientation throughout. Its stated mission is to free people from repetitive tasks so they can focus on work that matters more.
